Redtronic Wins Another NAPFM Award

Redtronic Wins Tangible and Social Benefits to Communities Award for Second Consecutive Year

Making a difference beyond the products we manufacture

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Redtronic has been awarded the Tangible and Social Benefits to Communities Award at the NAPFM National Awards Dinner for the second consecutive year.

Winning once was an incredible achievement. To be recognised again means even more.

Redtronic is best known for manufacturing warning and safety lighting used by emergency services and safety-critical organisations across the UK and beyond. But behind the products is a team of people who care deeply about the industries we serve, the communities around us and the difference a business can make beyond its day-to-day work.

This award recognises that wider contribution.

For us, social value isn't about ticking a box or producing a document once a year. It’s about what happens throughout the year. People giving their time, taking on challenges, supporting causes, collecting donations and finding ways to help organisations both close to home and connected to the industries we work within.

Giving Back to the People and Communities Around Us

Over the past year, the Redtronic team has supported a number of charities and community organisations, including PTSD999, the British Red Cross, Overgate Hospice and Elland & District Food Bank, alongside supporting initiatives such as Community Emergency Services Day.

Each organisation means something slightly different to us.

Our relationship with PTSD999 has particular significance because of our close connection with the emergency services. The charity supports serving and former emergency service personnel affected by post-traumatic stress. These are the people behind the uniforms who spend their careers helping others, often in incredibly difficult circumstances.

Supporting Overgate Hospice gives us an opportunity to make a difference closer to home. The hospice provides vital care and support to people and families across Calderdale, making its work an important part of the community in which Redtronic operates.

Our support for the British Red Cross reflects our connection with organisations helping people in times of crisis, while contributions to Elland & District Food Bank help support individuals and families within our own local community when they need it most.

Throughout the year, that support has taken many forms.

There have been fundraising challenges, charity events, donations and team activities. Some have been ambitious, some have been simple, but all have contributed towards something bigger.

And that is what makes this award particularly meaningful.

It isn’t recognition of one event or one fundraising total. It represents the combined impact of lots of people choosing to get involved.

It Starts With Our Own Team

Social value also starts inside Redtronic.

We want to create a workplace where people feel part of something, where teams work together and where employees are encouraged to get involved in activities outside their usual roles.

Some of the best moments from the past year have come from watching colleagues throw themselves into a challenge, volunteer their time, support somebody else's idea or simply ask:

“What can I do to help?”

Our team still has jobs to do, customers to support and products to manufacture. The fact that people continue to give their time, energy and enthusiasm alongside those responsibilities is something we are enormously proud of.

Without them, none of this happens.

Why This Award Matters to Us

Working so closely with emergency services and safety-focused organisations gives Redtronic a unique perspective.

Every day, we manufacture products designed to help make vehicles more visible, improve safety and support people working in demanding environments.

That creates a responsibility that, for us, shouldn't stop when a product leaves our factory.

We want to contribute to the industries that support us, help the communities around us and recognise the people whose work sits behind the vehicles and organisations we see every day.

Winning the Tangible and Social Benefits to Communities Award for a second consecutive year shows that this isn't a one-off campaign.

It's something we're continuing to build into Redtronic.

This One Belongs to the Team

The trophy might say Redtronic on it, but the achievement belongs to everyone who contributed.

To every colleague who took part in a challenge, donated, organised an event, gave their time, supported a charity, collected essential items, represented Redtronic in the community or simply got behind an idea, thank you.

Every contribution matters.

Being recognised by the industry is something we're extremely proud of, but the real achievement is the collective effort behind it.

Winning for a second year only makes us more determined to keep going.

What Comes Next?

More challenges. More fundraising. More opportunities to support the people and organisations around us.

And, hopefully, even more of the Redtronic team getting involved.

Because while we're proud to manufacture products designed to help keep people safe, we believe our responsibility goes further than that.

It's not only about the products we make. It's about the people, communities and industries behind them.

Here’s to another year of making a difference together.
